About me

I'm the founder of NeuroHR and an Employee Relations Consultant, with particular expertise in supporting neurodivergent employees in the workplace.

Throughout my HR career, I've worked with organisations of all sizes, helping them navigate complex Employee Relations matters with confidence. Whether it's a disciplinary, grievance, performance issue, long-term absence or workplace conflict, I believe the best outcomes come from balancing legal compliance with fairness, empathy and practical decision-making.

As awareness of neurodiversity in the workplace has grown, so has my passion for helping employers better understand and support neurodivergent employees. Alongside my Employee Relations work, I am a British Dyslexia Association (BDA) qualified Workplace Needs Assessor, carrying out Workplace Needs Assessments to identify practical, role-specific adjustments that can help employees work at their best. I also help managers understand the barriers an employee may be experiencing and feel more confident about putting the right support in place.

My approach is also shaped by my own lived experience of neurodivergence. I understand that workplace challenges don't always look the same from the inside as they do from the outside, and that sometimes being understood can make a real difference. I don't assume that my experience is the same as someone else's, but it does help me approach conversations with curiosity, empathy and an understanding that there can be more going on beneath the surface.

Growing up in a hardworking, working-class family taught me the importance of honesty, respect and treating people fairly. It also gave me an understanding of the realities of working life that can't be learned from a textbook.

For me, HR has always been about the people behind the process. Every workplace issue affects real people as well as the organisation, so I work to find solutions that are fair, balanced and commercially sound.

Clients often tell me they value my calm, approachable style and my ability to explain complex HR matters in a straightforward way. My aim is to build trusted relationships and give employers the confidence to manage people issues effectively, while helping create workplaces where everyone has the opportunity to do their best work.
